US Business
The US and Canada share the most unique relationship around the globe. We are neighbours, friends and business partners and the market south of the 49th parallel is still the destination of choice for Canadian manufacturers and exporters.
New policies and regulations developed in Washington DC can impact your business. That's why CME is the only Canadian trade and industry association with a staff person on Capitol Hill - to keep you informed as it happens. That's the CME difference.
Manufacturing BC - Outlook 2020
This is a major initiative undertaken by CME BC, in partnership with the Business Council of BC. The paper detailing this initiative provides input for a series of workshops here in BC that occured in the last half of 2009, co-chaired by David Emerson and Carole Taylor, to develop messaging to the BC Government and the general population about various industry sectors, their importance to the BC economy, and what needs to be done for them to thrive in the future.

Buy American
Canada and the US have reached an agreement on Buy American. This is a positive announcement that is the result of extensive work that CME, our members and allied associations in the US and Canada have been doing over the past 13 months. However, the fight against Buy American restrictions must continue.
