Health & Safety Council
In partnership with WorkSafe BC, CME is embarking on creating a Health and Safety Council aimed at creating a safer workplace and significantly reduced costs. Currently, there is no health and safety association specifically for the manufacturing sector. Once CME gains support from industry, we will create a centre of excellence and provide expertise on safety training, training materials, certification and will show members how they can get a refund of up to 15 per cent on current WorkSafe premiums.

New provincial funding is available to BC manufacturing businesses. Does your company qualify?
Governments and Canadian industry must work together to improve productivity and global competitiveness in order to survive. Increasing the essential skills of manufacturing workers is crucial to competing in the world's economy today. CME BC is pleased to announce it has secured two different sources of funding in partnership with the government of British Columbia to help BC manufacturers with 50 or fewer employees increase those employee skills that are vital to improving productivity and competitiveness.
