LEAN and LEARNING Network (LLN)
The Lean and Learning Network is focused on manufacturers looking to accelerate productivity improvements by taking advantage of the knowledge and expertise that already resides within manufacturing companies. Aimed at companies committed to LEAN manufacturing and willing to share successes as well as challenges, formal groups of 10 to 12 companies, with a goal to achieve step changes in business performance are forming in your area now!

Health & Safety Council
In partnership with WorkSafe BC, CME is embarking on creating a Health and Safety Council aimed at creating a safer workplace and significantly reduced costs. Currently, there is no health and safety association specifically for the manufacturing sector. Once CME gains support from industry, we will create a centre of excellence and provide expertise on safety training, training materials, certification and will show members how they can get a refund of up to 15% on current WorkSafe premiums.

BC Hydro Power Smart Industrial Partners program
CME has partnered with BC Hydro to fund energy management studies at 150 BC manufacturing facilities. The program includes a site audit, benchmarking, best management practices workshops and a final report with all energy savings opportunities identified, along with approximate capital costs and project incentives available to improve ROI on the investment. If your facility uses more than $50,000 of electricity annually, CME can arrange for an industrial Energy Manager to visit your site and create a customized Sustainable Energy Management Plan (SEMP), allowing you to save money, become more energy-efficient, and more. Results are confidential; only aggregate data will be disclosed. Participation in the study program is FREE.
