Workshop A: IoT – Securing Consumer and Industrial IoT Devices

October 26, 2017 | 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

As many of the inexpensive consumer IoT devices flood the market, such as cameras, thermostats, car starters, and other useful devices that manage homes and industrial facilities, these can easily be controlled by unauthorized users.  This hands on-lab will allow everyone to learn what information is actually passed and how best to secure these devices while taking advantage of their functionality both in home and in the workplace.

Canada Makes Forum: Additive Manufacturing Supply Chain & Logistics

3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing is impacting the supply chain and industrial logistics of manufacturing in very profound ways and the disruptions are currently affecting supply chains in advanced economies everywhere.

Join us and learn what is coming to your supply chain!

This one-day forum is to feature leaders in supply chain and logistics in the additive manufacturing/3D Printing sector. CME Canada Makes continues offering insight and expertise for Canada’s industry leaders with the mission of assisting companies to adopt additive manufacturing, a key component of Industry 4.0 implementation.

Supply chains are and will be affected in significant ways as the costs of storing massive amounts of inventory and global shipping are reduced and more parts are customized printed on demand. Point of production is getting much closer to users, allowing for a shorter and secure supply chain.

Key sectors of our economy are being affected and we have brought some experts to discuss certain issues and advantages facing various supply chains. The Canada Makes Forum will focus on Medical, Aerospace, Automotive and Energy and their supply chains.
