BRUCE JACKSON, WSBC
Bruce Jackson is the senior manager of prevention quality for WorkSafeBC, and began his career in workplace health and safety more than 20 years ago while working in the wood products manufacturing industry. He joined WorkSafeBC in 1997. He’s a graduate of BCIT in both occupational health and safety and operations management, and holds a graduate certificate in human factors/safety management systems. Bruce has a provincial instructor diploma, a diploma in adult education, and studied business and economics at SFU. He’s a Canadian Registered Safety Professional, a Chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, and a Certified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer. Bruce’s dynamic presentations provide needed information in an easy to understand and humorous format. The emphasis will be on working in small groups to figure out, on a practical basis, what the words in the legislation say and mean, and to explore the principles of evidence and learn how to apply them in the real world. You will come away better equipped to investigate accidents and to meet your obligations.
